We pierce anyone 18+ with a valid ID. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with matching IDs.

We only use implant-grade titanium (ASTM F-136) or solid 14K gold.
We do not pierce with butterfly-back earrings or jewelry purchased elsewhere.

Every person’s pain tolerance is different, but most piercings feel like a quick pinch and are over within seconds. Our artists use gentle, precise techniques to keep you comfortable.

Healing varies by placement:

• Lobes: 6–12 weeks
• Cartilage (Helix, Conch, Rook, Tragus, etc.): 6–12 months
• Nostril: 4–6 months
• Navel: 6–12 months

For safety and sterilization reasons, no outside jewelry under any circumstances. We must use jewelry that meets professional piercing standards.

Every ear and every anatomy is unique. Jewelry is priced per piece, and you can choose from our titanium or solid gold options to fit your aesthetic and budget.

We cannot perform piercings on anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. Your safety comes first.

You can safely downsize or switch jewelry once the initial swelling goes down:

• Lobes: 8-12 weeks
• Cartilage: 6-8 months
• Nostril: 6-8 months
• Belly Button: 8-12 months

We never use piercing guns. All piercings are performed with sterile, single-use needles, which are safer and more precise for skin and cartilage.

Absolutely. We’ll evaluate your anatomy and healing to see what’s safe and create a custom ear styling plan if needed. Our studio's practice is we recommend no more than 3 piercings done in one session for ample healing opportunity.

Bumps are usually caused by irritation, sleeping on the piercing, improper jewelry size, early touching/rotating or not downsizing. Book a check-in and we’ll assess your piercing and adjust your jewelry if needed.

Yes! Implant-grade titanium and solid 14K gold are nickel-free and hypoallergenic, making them safe for even the most sensitive clients.

We don’t use topical numbing as it can interfere with the tissue and the piercing process. Most piercings are extremely quick, and our gentle technique keeps discomfort minimal.

Avoid pools, hot tubs, lakes, and oceans for 4–6 weeks to prevent infection and irritation.

Yes. Studio 937 offers ear piercings for both babies and children using single-use hollow needles and implant-grade jewelry.

For babies and very young children under 5, we offer dual-artist piercing appointments so both ears can be pierced at the same time, helping make the experience as quick and comfortable as possible.

Our priority is creating a calm, safe, and positive experience. If a child decides they no longer want to continue, we will never force the piercing.

Studio 937 offers a variety of hollow-needle piercings, including lobes, upper and mid helix, flat, conch, forward helix, tragus, rook, daith, nostril, and navel piercings.

Some placements are anatomy-dependent and may require an in-person assessment before piercing. Our artists will help you choose a placement and jewelry style that works safely with your anatomy and fits the look you’re going for.

For your safety, Studio 937 does not perform new piercings during pregnancy and until you've received clearance from your medical provider.

If you are unsure whether it is the right time to get pierced, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider before booking.

Most piercings should be downsized around 4–6 weeks after your initial appointment, once the first stages of swelling have gone down.

Downsizing means replacing the longer post used for initial swelling with a shorter, properly fitted post. This can help prevent snagging, irritation, shifting, and unnecessary movement while your piercing continues to heal.

Please note that downsizing is a separate service and does have an additional cost for the appointment and downsize post. Healing timelines vary by placement and person, so we recommend having your piercing assessed by one of our artists before changing the jewelry.

Keep your new piercing clean, dry, and as undisturbed as possible while it heals.

Clean the area with sterile saline wound wash twice daily for the first 5 days, then every other day as needed. Avoid twisting, rotating, or removing the jewelry, and try not to sleep directly on the piercing.

Avoid alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, ointments, and harsh cleansers, as these can irritate the area and slow healing. Be mindful of makeup, hair products, headphones, hats, and anything else that may snag or put pressure on the piercing.

Healing time depends on placement, and your piercing may feel healed before it is fully healed internally. If you have concerns during the healing process, contact Studio 937 so one of our artists can assess it.

Yes. Studio 937 can assist with jewelry changes for piercings performed at another studio, as long as the piercing is healed enough and the jewelry is appropriate for your anatomy.

Because we cannot verify the material, quality, or condition of outside jewelry, we do not install jewelry brought in from elsewhere. Any jewelry used for a change must be purchased directly from Studio 937.

Studio 937 offers different appointment types based on the artist’s level of experience and training.

Experienced Artist appointments are performed by established Studio 937 piercers who have completed their training and regularly perform piercing services. These appointments offer the widest availability for piercing placements and jewelry options.

Apprentice Artist appointments are performed by artists who have completed foundational training and are continuing to build hands-on experience. Apprentice services are offered at a reduced rate and may be limited to select piercing placements.

Piercing Student Model appointments are performed by brand-new artists during a Studio 937 piercing course under direct supervision. These appointments are offered at our lowest model rate and are designed to give students supervised, real-world experience. Because these are training appointments, they may take longer and placement availability can vary.
